Transition to MyIntealth

Information for Existing Applicants

This page is intended for individuals who have applied to our services previously. It summarizes the most important changes these existing applicants will encounter when using MyIntealth™. This information for each service may include revised deadlines, dates for completing in-progress applications/requests, how to access services, process changes, and ID numbers. Please check back frequently since updates will be provided as they become available.

General Applicant Information

Delayed Processing Times

During the transition to MyIntealth, processing times for all services may be longer than usual both before and after launch. We sincerely appreciate the understanding and support of all users as we work through this period of change.

Process Changes

There will be updates to the processes for requesting our services in MyIntealth. Some of these changes are outlined below by service.

Because of these updates, certain in-progress applications or requests cannot be transferred to MyIntealth. Applicants who wish to complete in-progress items before the transition should review the Dates for Completing Certain In-Progress Applications/Requests. If an application or request cannot be completed prior to the transition, it will be rejected, and applicants will need to submit a new request through MyIntealth.

Additionally, due to process changes, some applicants may be required to repeat parts of their application or request, such as resubmitting medical education credentials or completing identity verification. Once you log into MyIntealth, you will be guided to complete any necessary steps to access our services.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we implement these changes and work to provide you with an improved experience through MyIntealth.

Dates for Completing Certain In-Progress Applications/Requests

Due to changes in our processes, some in-progress applications and requests cannot be transferred to MyIntealth. To assist applicants wishing to complete these before the launch, we have established specific deadlines. Please refer to the specific information for each service below and take any required actions to complete in-progress items as soon as possible. All dates/times are calculated using Eastern Time in the United States. Please monitor this page and our social media channels found at the bottom of this page for updates and additions.

IMPORTANT

The dates below are provided as general guidance for applicants. For applications and requests received by the specified deadlines (except where noted), we will make every effort to process them before the MyIntealth launch. However, receipt by these dates does not guarantee completion before the transition. If an application or request cannot be processed in time and is not transferable, it will be “rejected” and applicants will need to submit a new request through MyIntealth.

Deadline for Updating Contact Information

Applicants will be able to update their contact information in OASIS through 9:00 a.m. on August 12. Applicants can resume making updates to their contact information in MyIntealth after it launches.

Identity Verification

Identity verification is required for many of our services.

The identity verification process in MyIntealth will remain the same as it is currently: applicants must have their Intealth identification form notarized, presenting a valid passport to the notary. Online notarization via NotaryCam will continue to be required, and Intealth will continue to collect the associated NotaryCam fee.

Changes to the process in MyIntealth include:

  • Identity verification will take place at the time of MyIntealth Account Establishment.
  • A new Intealth Identification Form (IIF), common to all services, will replace our current identification forms (e.g., the Certification of Identification Form, or CIF (Form 186), and the EPIC Identification Form, or EIF).
  • Once notarized, the IIF will be returned to Intealth automatically by NotaryCam.

Applicants who have previously used our services and possess a valid, notarized identification form supported by a valid passport will meet the identity verification requirements for MyIntealth. Their MyIntealth account will be automatically established during the transition. Applicants without these credentials will need to complete the MyIntealth Account Establishment process, which includes identity verification, to access certain services. Please see the service-specific details below for more information.

MyIntealth Account

If an applicant already has used any of our services, we will transfer the applicant’s existing account information to MyIntealth prior to launch, including merging multiple accounts into a single new account. Applicants who do not meet our current identity verification requirements will be required to complete the MyIntealth Account Establishment process, which includes identity verification, to access certain services.

MyIntealth ID

All new and existing applicants will be assigned a MyIntealth ID, a unique 9-digit number that will be used to identify them across our services. Applicants will be issued a MyIntealth ID once their MyIntealth account is established and should use the MyIntealth ID consistently when contacting us for assistance. Applicants will be able to view their MyIntealth ID, once assigned, on the My Profile tab in MyIntealth.

In addition to the MyIntealth ID, MyIntealth will continue to support applicant ID numbers issued by certain other organizations. These additional ID numbers will be linked to the applicant’s MyIntealth account. Please see the specific information for each service below.

Important Information for Applicant About Using MyIntealth

  • Applicants will use MyIntealth to access all services. It will replace most of our web-based applications as well as many paper-based forms.
  • Applicants will use their email address as their user ID. Each email address must be unique and cannot be shared with another MyIntealth user.
  • Applicants will also be required to create a password. The user ID and password will grant access to all MyIntealth services.
  • All required documents, including medical education credentials, must be uploaded directly to MyIntealth. Paper copies and email submissions will no longer be accepted. (The J-1 Statement of Need is the limited exception.)
  • For the best experience, applicants should use the Google Chrome browser when accessing MyIntealth.

Fees & Payment

As part of the transition to MyIntealth, the allocation of applicant fees has been adjusted to better align with the services provided and their timing. This realignment reflects our commitment to transparency and our ongoing efforts to improve the applicant experience. Please note that some of our fees include costs that we collect on behalf of and pay to third parties.

Some of the processes for requesting our services will change with the introduction of MyIntealth. The structure of some fees will change to align with these new processes in MyIntealth. Please refer to the specific information for each service below.

There also will be changes to Intealth’s payment methods and policy when MyIntealth launches:

  • Applicants will use MyIntealth to pay for all services and to track all financial transactions.
  • Available payment methods are debit from a U.S. bank account and credit card. Paper checks, bank drafts, and money orders will no longer be accepted.
  • The maximum amount that applicants can have in their financial account in MyIntealth at any time is $5,000.00.
  • Certain refunds will be processed automatically.

Application for ECFMG Certification CIF notarization by August 10, 2025 (11:59 p.m., ET) Applicants who have not completed notarization by this date must complete identity verification again during MyIntealth account setup.

If applicants miss these deadlines, their in-progress applications/requests may be “rejected,” requiring submission of new requests through MyIntealth.

IMPORTANT

The dates above are provided as general guidance for applicants.

How to Access Services

Applicants will use MyIntealth instead of the following.

  • Request for a USMLE/ECFMG ID
  • IWA – Interactive Web Applications
  • OASIS – Online Applicant Status and Information System

  • Form 265 – Request for Recheck of USMLE Step 1/Step 2 CK Score

Process Changes: Applying for ECFMG Certification and for Examination

Currently, applicants provide their medical education credentials at the time of exam application and can apply and be registered for examination while their credentials are being verified, provided that their medical school verifies their student or graduate status. These processes will change in MyIntealth, as described below.

  • Application for ECFMG Certification. When completing the Application for ECFMG Certification in MyIntealth, applicants will provide detailed information about their medical education and upload medical education credentials, such as the final medical diploma and, if applicable, transcript(s) to document transfer credits.
    • Students must provide transcript(s) to document transfer credits, if applicable, and these transcript(s) must be verified and accepted by ECFMG before the Application for ECFMG Certification is accepted. Once the Application for ECFMG Certification is accepted, students can apply for examination. If there are changes to their medical education information, including graduation from medical school, they must update their Application for ECFMG Certification. When an applicant graduates, the applicant must provide their final medical diploma and cannot apply for examination until all medical education credentials, including the diploma and transcript(s), are verified and accepted.
    • Graduates must provide the final medical diploma and, if applicable, transcript(s) to document transfer credits, and the graduate’s medical education credentials must be verified and accepted by ECFMG before the Application for ECFMG Certification is accepted. Once the Application for ECFMG Certification is accepted, graduates can apply for examination. If a graduate receives the final medical diploma after acceptance of their Application for ECFMG Certification, the graduate must update their Application for ECFMG Certification and provide their final medical diploma. In this case, the graduate can apply for examination only after all medical education credentials, including diploma and transcript(s), are verified and accepted.
  • Verification of Student/Graduate Status. When MyIntealth launches, the process for verifying student or graduate status will change.
    • Students whose medical schools currently verify status electronically via the ECFMG Medical School Web Portal (EMSWP) will continue to have electronic verification through MyIntealth. Students from schools using paper-based verification will receive an enrollment verification form generated by MyIntealth after submitting their exam application. Students must complete their portion of the form and submit it to their medical school for completion.
    • Graduate status verification will no longer be required at the time of exam application, streamlining the process. Because graduates’ medical education credentials will be verified before exam application, no further verification will be needed.
  • Verification of Credentials and Fee Structure. With MyIntealth, ECFMG Certification fees will be separate from United States Medical Licensing Examination® (USMLE®) registration fees. Previously, the credential verification fee was bundled with USMLE registration. Applicants who registered for two or more exams (not later cancelled) before the MyIntealth transition will receive a credit for the MyIntealth credential verification fee if their credentials are incomplete.

Identity Verification

Applicants with a valid Certification of Identification Form (CIF, Form 186) that does not include a “valid to” date will have a MyIntealth account automatically created during the transition and will be able to request services such as applying for USMLE exams.

Applicants without a valid CIF as described above must complete the MyIntealth Account Establishment process, including identity verification, before accessing certain services.

Applicants who submitted their Application for ECFMG Certification on or after September 13, 2018, but did not complete the CIF, may complete the MyIntealth Account Establishment process, including identity verification, at no cost. All other applicants will be required to pay the MyIntealth Account Establishment fee.
