Detailed Information on the 2025 Pathways for ECFMG Certification and On-line Application Now Available

Information on the 2025 Pathways for ECFMG Certification is now available on the ECFMG website. The 2025 Pathways are intended for international medical graduates (IMGs) who need to meet the clinical skills requirement and the communication skills requirement for ECFMG Certification. These requirements are among the examination requirements that IMGs must meet in order to participate in the 2025 National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) Main Residency Match® (The Match®). See Requirements for 2025 Pathways for ECFMG Certification on the ECFMG website for detailed information.

The on-line Application for 2025 Pathways for ECFMG Certification is now open. Visit the ECFMG website for eligibility requirements and detailed instructions for applying to each Pathway, including information on required documentation and application timing.

ECFMG’s Clinical Skills Evaluation and Attestation Portal also is now open for international medical schools who need to complete Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) Attestations for applicants to Pathway 2; Clinical Skills Attestations for applicants to Pathway 3, 4, or 5; and for licensed physicians who need to complete the required Mini-Clinical Evaluation Exercise (Mini-CEX) evaluations for applicants to Pathway 6. Visit the ECFMG website for important information for medical schools and physician evaluators.

ERAS 2025 Program Information for IMGs Now Available

Information for IMGs on the Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS) 2025 application season is now available. If you plan to apply for U.S. residency positions that begin in July 2025, please visit the following sections of the ECFMG website for important information.

Most U.S. residency programs participate in ERAS. If you apply to participating programs, you must use ERAS to do so.

  • See an overview of the Application Process and Timeline.
  • View instructions on how to obtain an ERAS Token, which will enable you to register at the MyERAS website of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) and work on your residency applications.
  • Find instructions for submitting your supporting documents, such as letters of recommendation and transcripts.

ERAS Support Services will transmit your supporting documents to your ERAS application. All supporting documents must be submitted electronically. For more details, please refer to the “Upload Your Documents Now” e-mail that will be sent to you after you have registered at MyERAS.

Residency Tokens for the ERAS 2025 application season are expected to be available through ECFMG’s On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS) beginning June 26, 2024. You can use a 2025 Token to register with AAMC’s MyERAS beginning June 26, 2024.

Call for Nominations to Intealth Board of Trustees

Intealth invites nominations to fill up to four trustee positions and two resident trustee positions on its Board of Trustees. Nominees for the trustee positions should be highly motivated individuals who are committed to advancing Intealth’s missions, demonstrate a capacity for organizational decision making through leadership and/or prior board experience, and be dedicated to the highest professional and personal ethics. Intealth trustees come from a wide range of backgrounds, including academic medicine, hospital administration, health law and policy, business, community health, patient advocacy, immigration, philanthropy, and others. All trustees are volunteers who initially serve a four-year term with potential re-election to one additional four-year term.

Resident trustee nominees should be IMGs: Intealth seeks to add one U.S. citizen IMG and one foreign national IMG to the Board. Nominees must have at least two years of U.S. graduate medical education training left at the time of application. Resident trustees are volunteers who serve a two-year term; resident trustees are not eligible for reappointment.

The deadline for all nominations is Monday, July 1, 2024. For more information on trustee responsibilities and the nomination process, please read the full announcement on the Intealth website.
