ERAS® 2024 Residency Tokens Now Available
Residency Tokens for the Electronic Residency Application Service® (ERAS) 2024 application season are now available through ECFMG’s On-line Applicant Status and Information System (OASIS). You can use a 2024 Token to register at the MyERAS website of the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), effective Wednesday, June 28, 2023, and begin work on your residency application.
If you plan to apply for U.S. residency positions that begin in July 2024, visit the ERAS Support Services section of the ECFMG website for important information and instructions on how to obtain an ERAS Token.
Important Note: To be eligible to participate in the National Resident Matching Program® (NRMP®) Main Residency Match® (The Match®), NRMP requires that international medical graduates (IMGs) meet the examination requirements for ECFMG Certification and that their passing results/satisfactory completion of these requirements are available by the NRMP’s Rank Order List Certification deadline. If you need to satisfy the examination requirements for ECFMG Certification and plan to participate in the 2024 Match, you should read the examination requirements carefully before requesting a 2024 ERAS Token. The ERAS Token fee is non-refundable.
Intealth CEO Statement: “Diversity Is Essential to U.S. Health Care”
July 1 marks the start of a new academic year in U.S. programs of graduate medical education (GME). Thousands of IMGs, both U.S. citizens and foreign nationals, are among the incoming trainees. Intealth CEO William W. Pinsky, MD has released a statement on the importance of diversity in U.S. health care and the knowledge, talent, and diversity that IMGs bring to the physician workforce.
“As medicine becomes increasingly globalized and our patient population more diverse, it is essential for our nation to embrace diversity in medicine and to recognize the critical contributions of physicians of all races, ethnicities, cultures, genders, and sexual orientations,” he writes.
We encourage you to read Dr. Pinsky's full statement.
